Our Mission
To develop practical and powerful simulation software that helps engineers and researchers understand, model and analyse particle-based systems.
LnEFlow is an engineering simulation product developed by GranDEM, focused on Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulation and particle-based engineering applications. Our goal is to provide a modern, reliable and practical simulation environment for engineers, researchers and organizations working with complex particle systems.
LnEFlow is designed around the needs of modern particle-based simulation. It brings together simulation setup, computational modelling, execution and analysis into a focused engineering software environment.
The product is being developed to support increasingly complex simulation requirements while keeping the overall workflow clear, practical and accessible.
LnEFlow is being developed with a clear focus: create a capable engineering simulation product that can evolve with the needs of industry, research and computational engineering.

A journey shaped by engineering innovation, advanced simulation technology and the evolution of an integrated computational engineering platform.
GranDEM was founded with a clear ambition: to develop and market advanced Discrete Element Method (DEM) software for unstructured grids. The vision was to build a Software as a Service (SaaS) company around specialized engineering simulation technology.
Establishing the vision for advanced DEM-based engineering simulation.
Yara took an interest in the project and initiated a one-year funded GUI development project. The goal was to bring key simulation capabilities together through a single GranDEM interface.
The DEM was API-coupled with the Ansys Fluent fluid flow solver and the HEFTY granulation model, allowing these components to be controlled through the GranDEM GUI. A separate ParaView autoload application was also developed for visualization postprocessing.
Trial version provided to Yara.
Licensing sales to Yara commenced following a satisfactory trial.
In 2025, the founder left his job and began focusing on developing the SGE fluid flowsolver. This marked an important stage in the evolution of the product, expanding its simulation capabilities beyond the existing DEM solver.
In January 2026, the first SGE fluid flowsolver version was released alongside GranDEM v2.0, supporting compressible flow, energy transfer and multicomponent capabilities.
A demonstration combining the DEM solver with the SGE fluid flowsolver was developed and released.
With the v2.2 release, GranDEM was renamed LnEFlow, marking the next stage in the product's evolution.
Product development is driven by practical engineering and simulation requirements.
Scientific and computational development remains an important part of the product direction.
